The PB Underground, led by star drummer Pete Ray Biggin, is the UK’s new funk sensation. In November 2011 they performed to a packed out Jazz Café as part of the London Jazz Festival, following which funk giants Tower of Power invited PBUG to support them for their March 2012 show at Koko. The band have previously appeared at many of London’s top jazz venues including PizzaExpress Dean Street, the Pigalle Club, Cargo and the Kensington Roof Gardens. The PBUG’s rhythm and horn sections are handpicked from the top session players in London, all experienced funk touring and recording artists of the highest calibre. Guest singers include Brendan Reilly (Basement Jaxx), Imaani (Incognito), Daniel Pearce (Dizzee Rascal), Andrea Grant (Strictly Come Dancing Big Band), Vanessa Haynes and Patrick Alan.
