A classically trained singer turned soul/funk songstress Lizzie Deane has a deeply soulful voice and dynamic, infectious performance style, gliding seamlessly between sweetly emotive and heartfelt belting lines usually associated with the classic divas of past decades. With her driving contemporary Funk & Blues band, Lizzie draws comparisons to the great soul-singing Kings and Queens such as Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Janis Joplin and Stevie Wonder, whom she cites as her main musical influences.
Having worked and toured with numerous acclaimed soul/jazz/funk legends including Pee Wee Ellis & Fred Wesley (JB Horns) as well as Boy George, Mica Paris, Carleen Anderson, Belinda Carlisle, Howard Jones and Just Jack, Lizzie is ready to step out of the shadows with her own eagerly anticipated material. With a delicious cocktail of Lizzie Deane’s original material blended with classic covers, you can expect a funky soulful vibe with some damn fine ballads to boot.
