The NYJO Nonet

The NYJO Nonet consists of the very best past and present members of the National Youth Jazz Orchestra. Led by tenor saxophonist Tom Stone, the Nonet is a showcase for some of the most talented young jazz musicians working in the UK, all of whom have progressed through the NYJO family, and focuses on small-group improvisation, playing compositions and arrangements by current and ex-members of NYJO. In tonight’s programme of swinging jazz standards and classics from the Great American Songbook, expect to be dazzled by the NYJO Nonet’s consummate skill, inspired soloists, and wonderful ‘cool-school’ arrangements.
