Success Express is delighted to welcome back PizzaExpress Live favourite, Oxford-raised soul artist Abi Farrell and her band, plus special guests Ellie HArris and Ed Tattersall.
Abi Farrell
Described by London's 'Soul Stripped Sessions' as "a powerhouse and then some", Abi Farrell was raised on a soundtrack of empowering pop, funk and soul. Influences from Aretha, Carole King and Chaka Khan are all present in Abi's music but each song is brought into the here and now by her effortlessly pure voice and lyrical dexterity. After a chance meeting with artist Nick Corbin in 2020, Abi has most recently released the co-written 'I Will See You Through' and the self-penned 'Empowered' on the newly established Big AC Records. Produced by Mitch Ayling of The Milk, the tracks were quickly embraced by the underground soul scene, attracting worldwide radio exposure including plays from the likes of Craig Charles (BBC 6 Music), Robert Elms (BBC Radio London) and Kurtis Powers (The Face Radio NYC). 'Empowered' received a 10/10 rating from Blues and Soul Magazine and was released on limited edition 7" vinyl in early 2021. Abi brings her full band for her PizzaExpress Live debut show.
Ellie Harris
A self taught singer, songwriter and performer, 21 year old Brit School alumni Ellie Harris has a powerful voice with a depth and range well beyond her years. Her jazzy tones cross different genres producing a unique and original sound. With several notable releases and collaborations already under her belt, Ellie has performed widely across London, at notable venues including The Ned, The Pheasantry and the Spice of Life this year for her first headline show.
Ed Tattersall
In late November 2016 Ed begun his ascent into the mystical world of the modern day music industry. With a Paulo Nutini/Rod Stewart rasp, intertwined with a whole lotta of energy, Ed caught the attention of hit record producer and songwriter Jamie Petrie. Ed has since recorded his own unique rendition of D’Ream’s “Things Can Only Get Better” and recent single “Delicate Mind” was released through CALM in 2019. With his raspy distinctive voice, and some great songwriting, we are really excited to introduce him to new listeners. A songwriter and exciting live artist on the rise.
