Rhizome Duo is the result of a creative encounter between Edmundo Carneiro and Alê Prade in a fertile field of confluences, where the multiple rhythmic hues of Brazilian musical culture seek space for experimentation through the interrelationship with the spheres of contemporary music. In this context the duo presents a multifaceted universe, which naturally mixes the roots of Brazilian music in its varied rhythmic nuances, melodies and harmonies with the languages of atonal, post-tonal, electroacoustic and planimetric music. The result reveals a rich and dynamic panorama that reconciles ancestry and modernity privileging, above all, the present moment, spatiality, gesture and the potentiality of the creative encounter.
