PizzaExpress Jazz Club (Soho)

This special event will feature the launch of Alex Scheuerer's 'Between Heaven and Earth' album. French singer Najwa Ezzaher (The Voice France) will open the show with a short acoustic set celebrating Mother’s Day before joining Alex and his quintet on stage to perform numbers taken from the new album. Hotly-tipped jazz guitarist Alex Scheuerer is set to bring his crisp guitar playing and intricate finger work to PizzaExpress Soho. Armed with a sumptuous collection of his very own tunes comprising of guitar-driven modern jazz, be prepared to be fully thrilled by the effortless playing and arrangements from the band.

Alex has been a working musician for the last 6 years. After graduating from Bimm College Of Music he has toured in UK and Germany doing some Theatre and session work as well as some function work in Europe, Morocco and Dubai. He takes his inspiration from jazz artists such as Pat Metheny and Robert Grasper or bands such as Australian Hiatus Kayote. Together with some of London best players, Alex will introduce his own music and give life to his melodies.
The band will be playing a mix of swing, funk but also more modern numbers.
