Alex has a reputation for delivering exciting shows of consistently excellent music and always adds an unexpected twist to keep the audience on their toes. For this end-of-festival show, Alex will bring together friends from various collaborations including the virtuoso Indian vocalist Unnati Dasgupta in a delicious Afro Cuban setting which will include Venezuelan percussion virtuoso Edwin Sanz.

Now based in Switzerland, Alex Wilson is one of the foremost keyboard players to come out of the UK. He has travelled to sixty countries appearing with artists as diverse as Wynton Marsalis, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Ernest Ranglin, Marc Anthony, Jocelyn Brown, Courtney Pine, Hugh Masekela, Madou Sidiki Diabaté & DJ Snowboy.

His composing & production career is equally diverse writing commissions for Harrogate International Festival, Aldeburgh Music and The Royal Opera House and his theatre score for NITRO’s The Wedding Dance to his TV music placed on Channel 4, the series ‘24’, CNN, Discovery Channel and the Sandra Bullock film The Proposal.
