Altamar Latin Quartet are delighted to be returning to the Dean Street Jazz Club following our successful debut appearance earlier in 2019. The band offers a rich combination of lively rhythms and harmonic influences from the continent of Latin America. Corina Poore was born in Uruguay and Joan Shenton in Chile. They were at school together in Buenos Aires and began singing at various London venues in the 70s which included the PizzaExpress Notting Hill Gate. They have been joined by the acclaimed Venezuelan percussionist Wilmer Sifontes and guitarist Ramiro Nocelli from Argentina.
