Alvorada are the UK’s leading choro ensemble, a style of upbeat instrumental music from Rio de Janeiro. Alvorada have performed at festivals and venues across the UK and beyond, with sell-out shows at the London Jazz Festival, PizzaExpress Live and Paris International Choro Festival. Their 2019 debut album First Light, featuring traditional choros and original compositions, was received with much critical acclaim, leading to BBC Radio 3 and JazzFM appearances. Alvorada also won the LUKAS and Focus Brasil awards for ‘Best Brazilian Band’. Alvorada will be fresh from recording their second album, with new material fresh for PizzaExpress.

Jacque Falcheti is a singer based in Ribeirão Preto, Brazil, with six albums released and multiple awards. She has toured extensively across Europe, Africa and Latin America both as a soloist and in collaboration with other artists. In the UK for one week only, this is a show not to be missed!
