An Audience with Imelda Staunton and Jim Carter

BAFTA and Emmy Award winning composer, John Altman, hosts a series of intimate conversations with friends and colleagues from his many years experience - over 50 movies, 4,000 commercials and 19 Platinum Records. Guests in the series have already included Michael Palin, Goldie, Rob Brydon and Sanjeev Bashkar. For the first time tonight, John welcomes two special guests, celebrated actors (and husband and wife) Imelda Staunton and Jim Carter.

Imelda Staunton, CBE is equally renowned for her work on both stage and screen. Staunton has won four Olivier Awards (Into The Woods, Sweeney Todd, Gypsy and A Chorus of Disapproval) and a further 11 nominations. She drew critical acclaim for her appearance in the title role of the film, Vera Drake, which garnered her a BAFTA award and Oscar nomination. Further film roles have included two Harry Potter films, Nanny McPhee and Pride. Jim Carter is best known for his roles as Mr Carson in Downton Abbey, for which he received four Emmy nominations. His film credits have included The Madness of King George, Richard III, Shakespeare In Love, Brassed Off and Top Secret.
