An Audience with Michael Palin

The BAFTA and Emmy Award winning composer, John Altman, hosts a series of intimate conversations with friends and colleagues from his many years experience - over 50 movies, 4,000 commercials and 19 Platinum Records.

John’s special guest tonight is the legendary Michael Palin CBE. John first worked with the Monty Python team 44 years ago, and they will talk about this relationship and how, for example, 'Always Look On the Bright Side of Life' came about. 

But of course there is far more to Michael Palin than his comedy skills. He has juggled various highly successful careers as a writer, actor and TV presenter. Beginning with his writing for films and TV, and we’ll cover his many acting and writing successes in films such as Brazil, A Fish Called Wanda, A Private Function, The Missionary and American Friends and of course the Python films.

Many people of course will know him best for his travel documentaries where he brought his unfailing good humour to every corner of the globe.
