PizzaExpress Live (Birmingham)

Birmingham based indie pop artist Eliza May is taking centre stage with her band for an evening of live music at PizzaExpress. She went on her first tour in 2017, played Brighton Pride 2018, supported Declan J Donovan in 2020, headlined the O2 Institute Birmingham in 2021 and when she’s not gigging, can be found busking around the country. Prepare for a night of playfully bold songs that will make you want to get up and dance.

With the support of Gaby K.

"Combining groovy, upbeat instrumentation with a contagiously catchy, well convicted vocal - Eliza May certainly provides a refreshing spark of sunshine to the Alt Indie/Pop worlds"

Live A Little Louder Music

Since 2017, Eliza has been making her mark on the music industry and has become a well-known name in the local Birmingham music scene. From playing at established restaurants and bars like The Canal House and The Botanist to playing huge festival and venues like Brighton Pride, The O2 Academy and O2 Institute Birmingham with her band, Eliza keeps going from strength to strength.  In 2019, Eliza released her first EP “The Fall” and held an EP launch to support this which was completely packed out. 2020 saw Eliza support Declan J Donovan at The Hare and Hounds and immediately after that incredible gig, the pandemic hit.

From having gigs booked in the diary every week to having a completely cleared schedule, Eliza didn’t let the pandemic get her down.  She started working on her next EP with the help of her band. Every sound was recorded in their bedrooms and then sent to Eliza to arrange. After two years of hard work and some production magic from her producer Jamie Farnell (Fretless Audio), Eliza’s new songs have truly been brought to life. “Edge of This”, the first single from Eliza’s upcoming EP tells the story of that ex who’s not letting go, the journey from lemons to love and confidently knowing your worth.

This year, Eliza has already been making big moves. After releasing “Edge of This”, she’s played her first London gig, is booked to play at The O2 Academy Birmingham, has festival appearances lined up and is due to release her new EP in the coming months. With a fresh unique sound,  Eliza May is spicing up the indie pop scene and is definitely an artist to watch in 2022.
