Anna Ferrer was born in Menorca in 1993 and since a young age her life has run arond music as well as other performing arts. At age of 14, Anna lead her first professional music project, ‘S’Albaida’, with whom she recorded two albums, ‘Xalandria’ and ‘Soldemà’. This allowed her to meet leading figures of the Spanish music world such as Eliseo Parra and Marina Rossell, who influenced her music.
In 2017, Ferrer released her first album ‘Tel·lúria’ as a solo artist. That same year she also performed with pianist Clara Peya’s project ‘Oceanes’.
2019 sees the light of Anna’s second solo album ‘KRÖNIA’, where she explores the essence of folk music, and explores it, transforms it and expands using electronics, creating a unique sound for those traditional songs.
During the pandemic lockdowns, Anna has been working on her newest project, ‘Parenòstic’, together with her collaborator El Niño Eche, who has helped her take her live performance to a new level, which you will have the pleasure to see tonight. The perfect intimate setting for a wonderful and creative artist alone on stage with just a guitar, a drum and a synthesiser.
This concert is part of Spotlight, Catalan Culture in the UK, a rich programme of events featuring literature, music, dance, cinema and more from March to June 2022 organised by the Institut Ramon Llull.
