A journey into the music of Antonio Onorato. Eclectic guitarist and composer, he has released 26 albums from jazz fusion, to orchestral works and has played all over the world most recently at the Blue Note in New York. He has collaborated with Toninho Horta, Franco Cerri and Pino Daniele among many others. Antonio Onorato & Friends will be a night where jazz-rock marries the Mediterranean and Neapolitan traditions. Antonio and his friends will perform some of his original compositions as well as rearranged versions of traditional a Italian tunes...Expect a few extra special guests!

Antonio Onorato is an eclectic guitarist and composer who has released 26 albums from jazz, fusion, to orchestral works and has played all over the world most recently at the Blue Note in New York. He has collaborated with Toninho Horta, Franco Cerri and Pino Daniele among many others. Researcher in etnomusicology, Antonio focuses on incorporating stylistic elements of the harmonic and melodic languages of Neapolitan music, with the music of other traditions, namely afro- American, Middle Eastern and Brazilian. Thus, he has developed a highly original and unique style. His career has taken him all over the world. His journeys to the USA, Brazil and Africa in particular have inspired new compositions where he combined jazz fusion and world music.

In 2002 Antonio was one of a number of Italian artists who traveled to Baghdad to protest the Iraqi war. The demonstration was organised by Michele Stallo, renowned photographer and personal friend of Antonio's.

He has taken part as a solo artists to many an Italian and International festivals, headlining along with artists like John Scofield, Jan Garbarek, Charlie Haven, Steve Grossman, Pat Metheny, Tito Puente, Toots Thielemans, Tuck & Patti, Gary Burton, Bob Geldof, Rita Marley, George Benson.
