Born in Paducah, KY, she began singing at the age of five with her older sisters in a gospel group called the Parks Sisters. Although her roots are in gospel, after high school Candace began to explore other avenues in the music industry. She is the first graduate of the Commercial Music Program at Tennessee State University in Nashville and is a professional recording artist with a background in Gospel, R&B, Jazz, and Pop.

Twenty-eight days after her 2014 breast cancer surgery, Candace Woodson was back to business as usual performing at the wedding of one of John “Cougar” Mellencamp’sdaughters. This is a testament to Candace Woodson’s lifelong passion for performing and a talent for resilience she calls “stick to it-ness”. A survivor since 2014, she wrote the song “Free,” a funky old school dance anthem that conveys hope and positivity in the wake of adversity. This is a message she conveys stemming from her own experience and feeling after receiving her last cancer treatment at the Medical University of South Carolina. With the help of UK promoter Steve Ripley, who has worked on hits for Diana Ross, Luther Vandross, Maxwell, and Jody Watley, “Free” rose to #12 on the UK Soul Chart Top 30.

Michael Powell, the record producer for Anita Baker, gave Midas Touch high praises stating that "I enjoyed working with her and the album is going to be great!". The Father of Disco, Tom Moulton, the dreator of songs such as Love Train and Darlin' Darlin Baby by the O'Jays stated "I love the production!!. Preston Glass who's worked with the likes of Whitney Houston says "Hot Stuff man ... Right from the jump, this groove gets you STARTED - the bass line and horns gets you DEEPLY INVOLVED - and that hook KEEPS you moving. Great stuff!". regarding the single Midas Touch (Ooh Ooh). BK Kirklands from the Groove Sirus 50 stated "its a strong song with great production!". And award-winning presenter and producer John Leech from BBC's Essex redio in the UK stated "Midas Touch [is] one of the best songs of 21!".

Woodson's chart-topping single "Midas Touch (Ooh Ooh)" is reaching the world globally and is available on all platforms.
