Nashville Meets London presents a monthly residency at PizzaExpress Live Holborn. Tonight will see performances from Cash Campbell (USA) and Two Ways Home (UK). A “true representation of current country for the next generation” (CMT) newcomer Cash Campbell is bursting onto the music scene with “The In Between.” Two Ways Home are the songwriters and alt-country/folk duo Isabella Mariee, originally from Vienna, Austria and Lewis Fowler, who grew up in Gloucestershire, UK. Now based in London, they stand together in this time of uncertainty, fighting prejudice and striving for unity.

Cash Campbell

'The In Between' track track is currently Top 25-and-climbing on the MusicRow Country Breakout chart, and closing in on Top 40 on the Billboard Country Indicator chart. With his lush sonic palate – glittering, guttural and ethereal – it’s no wonder that fans around the globe are already captivated by Campbell as he continues to rack up MILLIONS of streams on multiple platforms since the release of his debut song “Cannonball." After growing up singing in a small-town Texas choir and spearheading several different rock-focused bands over the years, Campbell’s deep-running Lone Star roots began to show as his solo career took shape. Channeling those influences but looking to stand apart from the Country pack, Campbell teamed up with Peer Astrom (the Swedish composer partly responsible for Glee's soundtrack) and musician Chris LaCorte. Together they honed in on a sound that handpicks the best musical elements from each of their hometowns – down-to-Earth realism from Dallas, relatable songwriting from Nashville and irresistible electronic energy from Stockholm – fusing them into a mix that exists in a lane of its own. Out of the gate, CMT selected Campbell for their Artist Discovery initiative and world premiered the glowing, vibrant video for “Cannonball” in 2017. His Southern heart and worldly mind are fully evident on tracks “Don’t Wanna Think About It,” “Little Things,” and “Gravity,” with each available now on all digital retailers. Building a fan base on the road, he has shared the bill with Country’s brightest stars including Chris Lane, Granger Smith, Gary Allan and Dylan Scott.

Two Ways Home

In the four years that have passed since the release of their debut EP ‘Wood For Trees’(March 2015), the band have enjoyed radio play across the UK & Europe, toured internationally, sharing stages with artists across the country/Americana spectrum from Phil Vassar to Sarah Darling and have been featured extensively in print publications including Maverick Magazine, Record Collector and The Sun, with the latter describing their sound as “...crystal clear harmonies tinged with melancholy”. Although their live setup is sometimes an acoustic duo or trio, Two Ways Home often play as a five-piece band with Chris Brice (drums), Michael Clancy (electric guitar) and Maxime Obadia (bass).

The acclaimed follow up EP, ‘Better Days’ highlighted as “a stunning piece of art” by One on One Music secured their reputation as a key player in the UK country & folk scene, with single ‘Just For Now’ played across BBC Regional Radio, Amazing Radio and on Chris Country among others. Described by The Upcoming as ”unique, unexpected and brilliant”, interest in their music has also led to increasing demand for Two Ways Home as a songwriting team, with other artists turning to the duo to bring their distinctive sound to collaborations and co-writes. They have written with/for UK and American artists such as Liz McClarnon (Atomic Kitten), Twinnie and Charlie Worsham to name a few. Two Ways Home also run a Nashville-style writers round in London known as The Round Up, which is steadily growing in popularity and has seen all of the previously mentioned artists perform at their event.

2018, saw the pair play some of their biggest shows to date including: appearances at The Long Road Festival, Nashville Meets London and they closed the year with a headline show at London’s prestigious Under The Bridge for “NashNights”. They also toured throughout the UK, Germany and Austria with a festival packed summer. Isabella and Lewis are now hard at work recording their first full-length album, which is due for release in May 2019 after raising over £10,000 via crowd funding platform: IndieGogo.
