Swedish born, London resident Cecilia Stalin's breakthrough came with the use of Nu Jazz act Koop 'Waltz For Koop' on Woody Allen's 'Match Point' film soundtrack. Cecilia has performed live with The Streets, Alicia Dixon, Cinematic Orchestra, Omar, and appeared on recordings with Jazzanova's Alex Bark, Bugz In The Attic's Daz-I-Kue, and Max Factor. She has had music out on labels such as Compost, Wagram, Jazz FM and Universal Music.

 

Cecilia has released several albums and EPs during her 15 years in the music business including the critically acclaimed album 'Step Like A Giant', a mix of Hip Hop, Soul and Nu Jazz in celebration of John Coltrane, and her most recent project, the 2016 release 'The Love Ep' which has an approach that is more modern, with hip hop and vocal layering , which has garnered support from the likes of Gilles Peterson (Worldwide) and Chris Philips (JazzFM). She has performed in venues ranging from the Barbican and Royal Festival Hall to Ronnie Scott's and the 606 Club. 

Last year Cecilia got the opportunity to work with The Royal Shakespeare company in Stratford singing in their production of 'Anthony & Cleopatra', and she also was asked to write her first commission for a 200 piece choir for the Women of the World Festival at Royal Festival Hall. She was also asked to host and perform at several events for Southbank Center during their 'Nordic matters' scheme.
