PizzaExpress Live (Holborn)

PizzaExpress Live is very proud to launch a new series of stand-up comedy shows in our Holborn venue. Performers are drawn from the very best UK club comedians - many of whom are award-winners. Each night will feature three great performers. Whether you've come to see someone in particular or are just curious to see a comedy show, every one of the comedians we are presenting is hugely experienced and has sold out shows in their own right.

Chistian Reilly
Christian’s first comedy gig was in the Perrier Award-winning show, ‘Rich Hall is Otis Lee Crenshaw’. He is a global comedy circuit headliner and has appeared at numerous international comedy festivals, on BBC radio and TV, and in four series of the Chortle Award-winning stand-up and sketch show ‘Richard Herring: As It Occurs To Me’. In 2015, BBC Radio 4 followed Christian on the road to the Edinburgh Fringe for ‘Lives In a Landscape’. 2016 saw Christian taking his comedy to Australia as part of Perth’s Fringeworld festival. 2018 will see Christian return to the Edinburgh Festival for the seventh consecutive year with a new show.

Barry Castagnola
Barry Castagnola has been performing stand-up in the UK and internationally since the late Nineties – when he blagged his way onto the stage at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles. He has appeared in the Channel 4 show Experimental and presented The YES/NO Gameshow on cable channel Bravo.
He is also one third of the spoof ecowarrior troupe Cyderdelic (alongside Marc Wootton and Liam Woodman), who made a six-part BBC Three series and made regular appearances on Channel 4's 11 O'Clock Show.

Imran Yusuf

Imran Yusuf is renowned as a skilful raconteur who seamlessly weaves socio-political satire with heartfelt introspection in his charmingly endearing trademark styling. Languid, punchy, cheeky and utterly loveable, Imran has established himself as a truly unique voice in the world of comedy.
Imran is of East-African Indian descent, born in Mombasa, Kenya but raised in London with a brief stint studying illegally in the USA. Imran has travelled much of the world including Israel/Palestine, Jordan and Saudi Arabia during the Lebanon Crisis in 2006 in an all encompassing pilgrimage for which he quit his job and spent his savings.
Imran also speaks fluent Hindi/Urdu which has allowed him to go down a storm in the blossoming stand-up comedy scene in India and with his rich multicultural background, Imran has become an original voice that embodies the multi-cultural wealth that exists in modern Britain.
Imran’s TV debut was also made shortly after the festival appearing on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow (BBC1) and the Edinburgh Comedy Fest (BBC3) broadcast in September 2010.
Imran has completed two UK tours with his solo shows “An Audience with Imran Yusuf” and “Bring The Thunder”. Imran took his third solo show “Roar of The Underdog” to the Edinburgh Festival in 2014 and is taking its sequel; “Super Roar of The Underdog Turbo X: HD Remix” to the Edinburgh Festival in 2015. Imran can also be seen as a regular member of the team-based topical comedy show; The Cutting Edge at The Comedy Store in London.
