“Guillermo has rocked me with his amazing swinging versatility. A true World Music journey!” Mark Murphy

“[Mancio’s] intonation was impeccable, her fluidity around the pulse and a feeling of real pleasure derived from her interaction with the other…musicians was just incredibly infectious” London Jazz

Compañeros were formed after a chance encounter just last year and the discovery of their shared love of storytelling and Latin American rhythms. They have performed at venues outside London and opened for Brazilian legend Deodato in a residency at Ronnie Scott’s this spring. Charismatic Buenos Aires-born vocalist, guitarist, songwriter and educator, Guillermo Rozenthuler, has performed with his own band, Rioplatenses, acclaimed jazz artists (Edward Simon, Tina May, Pete Churchill,
Gilad Atzmon) and in the West End hit Midnight Tango.

Georgia Mancio’s original language vocals (as heard on her 2008 Latin flavoured album Trapeze) reveal “a highly skilful storyteller” (The Jazz Mann). She opened for Brazilian legend, Milton Nascimento, at Ronnie Scott’s and has worked with Bobby McFerrin, Gwilym Simcock and Liane Carroll.

Arnie Somogyi has played on over 50 albums (including five as a leader); performed with artists including James Moody, Eddie Henderson, Tom Jones and Amy Winehouse and had his music featured on radio, film and television.

Drummer/percussionist and bandleader, Dave Ohm, has performed with artists including Benny Golson, Gregory Porter, Ian Shaw, Nigel Hitchcock, Laurence Cotttle, Anthony Strong, Claire Martin and Peter King and co-produced Georgia’s albums Trapeze and Silhouette.
