Success Express continues to introduce exciting new Independent artists to new audiences at PizzaExpress Live. We are thrilled to introduce three brand new artists to PizzaExpress Holborn - jazz, soul and R&B artist Dahana, soul, gospel and reggae influenced JJ Soulx and alternative pop singer-songwriter Cali Rivlin.

Dahana

Israeli born singer-songwriter Dahana has grown from her roots in Nazareth via a career as a professional ballet dancer, to study music and composition before landing on her calling as a raw, soulful and jazz singer-songwriter and exciting and abd authentic live artist. Her first album “Swan” released in 2012, produced with Yossi Fine (Bowie, Lou Reed, Brian Eno) clearly demonstrates those powerful jazz, soul and R&B influences which Dahana has continued to hone and develop. Having relocated to London, her follow up album received considerable attention across BBC local and national networks, and she is set to release more new music in 2022.

JJ Soulx

Opening for legendary artists such as The Wailers, Floetry, Yolanda Brown and Akua Naru to name a few, JJ has graced the stages of London’s most renowned venues, including The Jazz Cafe?, The Roundhouse and O2 Arena. Birthed in a musical surrounding, it is no surprise that creativity is a very natural expression for JJ. She is a musician, singer, songwriter and poet, immersed in the live sounds of jazz, soul and gospel music, which has produced her distinctive tone very unique to the artist. JJ has also inherited reggae influences through her culture and background, which has further shaped her approach to her creativity and lyricism. d sound, she aims to inspire her audiences with poetic and lyrically conscious music.

Cali Rivlin

Cali's music is crafted piano composition alongside soulful vocals. She describes it as: "If Alanis, Tori Amos, Kate Bush & Florence+Machine had a baby that made a soundtrack". Those artists inspired a unique combination, culminating in her debut album Flying Through Water. Currently Cali’s recording her new EP coming out later this year.
