"Beautiful and Intoxicating.I've completely fallen for this lady.I love it", Michelle Hussey, BBC Introducing

“Here is a great new French release and she is absolutely brilliant “ Cerys Matthews

Multi-instrumentalist Shama will perform from her new album, ‘Truth BeTold’. Recorded live, the album showcases Shama’s unique approach to sitar performance and composition, with electro-acoustic tracks seamlessly crossing genres including jazz, live electronica, psychaedelia, pop, hiphop, afro latin worldbeats, beat poetry, both Indian/Western melodies and more.

As the first artist-in-residence with the the groundbreaking mi.mu gloves, the album features it throughout; cutting-edge, wearable tech that allows the artist’s movement to trigger sounds and effects as part of the live performance, underlining Rahman’s status as a ‘futuristic storyteller’.

Her music has been championed by Gilles Peterson, Songlines, Arts Desk and the BBC.

An accomplished sitarist (studying under the tutelage lineage of Ravi Shankar), Shama is an artist who deserves attention; a storyteller who embraces artistic expression in all its forms. Alongside her music, she is a successful actress, holds a PhD in the Neuroscience of Musical Creativity, Artistic Director of award- winning immersive science, performing arts and educational company, Jugular Productions, and the founder of NeuroCreate, using AI and neuroscience to enable digital training of creative Flow mental states. This openness to experience, creativity and the world around her is reflected in ‘Truth BeTold’. The new album should see Shama recognised as a truly individual and uniquely talented artist.

Garance Louis’ new album is a fiery concoction, pairing live sounds from 25 musicians with her new-found love of music production.

London’s French extrovert Garance Louis has pulled out all the stops with her second album Balance L’Aurore, working with Portico Quartet producer Sonny Johns on a musical odyssey that showcases everything good in London’s live music scene. Her second album sees Garance come of age as an arranger and producer alongside her distinctive songwriting style. Growing up in the independent 'Cinémaginaire' in the South of France, Garance’s  childhood was filled with the sights and sounds of the movies - transporting her around the world without leaving Perpignan. The sense of adventure and creativity is plain to hear on every track, referencing a joyful array of experiences from the last 2 years. Having busked her way across the world, through New Orleans, Brazil, Portugal, and Italy, she documented these adventures in songs about absurd abstraction, procrastination, star-crossed open relationships; intoxicating love and subsequent break-ups, and rebirth in the Amazonian forest.
