Dave Lee has had an illustrious career in the music world. He has played with the likes of Louis Armstrong, Dizzie Gillespie, John Dankworth, Cleo Laine, Sarah Vaughan, Anita O'Day and more. He was Musical Adviser and accompanist to Judy Garland for five years. He has written scores for West End shows and award winning songs such as 'Goodness Gracious Me'. At The Pheasantry he will be playing, singing and talking about the famous people he has met and worked with throughout his long career, together with Matt Home on drums and Alec Dankworth on bass.

Alec Dankworth is an award-winning jazz bassist and composer who, in addition to leading several groups of his own, has worked with an amazing list of artists including Van Morrison, Stéphane Grappelli, Abdullah Ibrahim, and The Dave Brubeck Quartet. He is known for his energetic stage presence, versatility of style and some of the most imaginative bass solos around. ‘Elegant stability, big sound, sure beat, and thoughtful spontaneity’ John Guardian.

Matt Home's  drumming influences are many but would include; Jo Jones, Max Roach, Art Blakey, Art Taylor, Roy Haynes, Philly Joe Jones, Albert “tootie” Heath, Billy Higgins, Mel Lewis, Jimmy Cobb to name a few. Of today’s modern drummers he likes Joe Farnsworth, Lewis Nash, Kenny Washington, Willie Jones iii, Rodney Green, Gregory Hutchinson and Bill Stewart.
