From Sweden, where he is already a huge star, David Carbe started playing piano at the relatively late age of 16. He quickly took to the instrument and found he excelled. His career has taken off like a rocket since these early years. For David it was never about just playing piano brilliantly; David always wanted to perform and to entertain.
David has been a guest star in Robert Wells world-famous “Rhapsody in Rock” concert tours and has worked with many of the biggest and best-known artists in Sweden and has produced his own highly successful Concert Tour “David Carbe and Guests”.
Blending classical technique with improvisation to create a sound that is uniquely their own, The David Carbe Quartet comprises some of the greatest musicians from Sweden, each bringing their own unique talents to the show.
David will ensure Holborn’s Steinway Grand Piano gets a real work-out during the show; he performs with Johan Walter on Lead Guitar, Jacob Linde on Drums, Simon Johansson on Bass and with Guest Singer Stina Klintbom completing the top class line-up. Stina’s powerful voice and her dynamic vocal range have established her as one of the most popular singers in Sweden. Together with David and his quartet, she will take you, the audience, on a musical journey that unfolds through several musical ages and styles, a journey strongly evocative of an altogether more elegant era, that of gaslight, nostalgia and romance.
