PizzaExpress Live (Holborn)

Following a sold-out show at the Elgar Room (Royal Albert Hall) in February, David Kofi returns with a performance at PizzaExpress. David Kofi is known for his jazz-inspired sound and performance style. He combines gospel, soul and funk to create a unique musical experience. It's been a decade since David released his first single. During that time, he has released three titled EPs, Galaxy (2014), Kokoro (2021) and Kokoro II (2022).

David is a jazz artist influenced by, gospel, funk & soul. His love for music started when he was introduced to Gospel music at age 13, although he began piano training at age 8. A few years later David found a love for jazz music, inspired by Snarky Puppy and Robert Glasper. In 2014, David released his debut EP Galaxy, comprising 5 jazz instrumentals & the feature song, "I'll Follow You (feat. Ethel Baffoe) " In 2016, following the release of the Galaxy, David was nominated for the "best jazz/blues" act at the Unsigned Music Awards in Troxy, London. 2021 followed with a 2 track jazz EP ‘Kokoro’ which featured track 1 Tsuro & James Mollison (Ezra Collective ) on track 2 Shinko. In 2022 David released the follow-up 2-track EP ‘Kokoro II’. In February 2023, David performed a sold-out show at the Elgar Room (Royal Albert Hall).
