Dom Joly burst on to the scene in 2000 with 'Trigger Happy TV', a prime-time smash hit on Channel 4 which ran for four years and which popularized forever the screamed ‘I’m on the train’ irritation we all now face daily. Dom has appeared on numerous tv series – including 'I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here' - and has written extensively for the Independent and the Independent on Sunday for fifteen years, as well as an award-winning travel writer for the Sunday Times and Mail On Sunday. He is currently a columnist for The Huffington Post, Cotswold Life and Campaign Middle East. Also an author, his first travel book, The Dark Tourist – in which he went to North Korea, Iran, Chernobyl, Lebanon and Cambodia – published by Simon and Schuster in 2010, was a huge success. In 2012 he wrote another travel book- Scary Monsters and Super Creeps in which he traversed the globe monster hunting. His latest book- Here Comes the Clown – A Stumble Through Show business has just been published. Join Dom as he opens up his digital life, tweets the trolls, FaceTimes some famous friends to say HELLO and offers a photographic glimpse into some extraordinary travel and showbiz adventures.

Dom Joly is the multi-award-winning television comedian.  His first TV series, Trigger Happy TV, was a primetime Friday night smash hit for four years running on Channel 4, from 2000 – 2004.   It went on to be sold in over seventy countries worldwide and win several awards including the Silver Rose of Montreux. Since then Dom has made TV shows for the BBC, Five and Sky One, including BBC1’s World Shut Your Mouth and the acclaimed travel series Dom Joly’s Happy Hour. In early 2010 Dom filmed a documentary on Tintin for Channel 4, entitled Dom Joly and The Black Island 

In 2010 Dom appeared on the hit ITV show I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here and in the following year toured a one-man show throughout the UK recounting tales of his life in the broadcasting world.  2012 saw Dom return to playing pranks on unsuspecting members of the public with his primetime Saturday Night ITV show- Fool Britannia. Most recently he has finished an eight part audio series for Audible entitled Dom Joly’s Big American Vacation in which he travelled across the USA wrestling alligators, bull-riding and shooting an unhealthy amount of guns.

Most recently Dom starred in the series of The Island with Bear Grylls for Stand Up To Cancer and he has launched a new series of Trigger Happy TV for Channel 4 – All 4

Alongside his broadcast work, Dom was a columnist for the Independent and the Independent on Sunday for fifteen years, as well as an award-winning travel writer for the Sunday Times and Mail On Sunday. He is currently a columnist for The Huffington Post, Cotswold Life and Campaign Middle East. Before Trigger Happy TV, Dom worked as a diplomat for the EU in Prague and as a producer for ITN at Westminster!

Dom has starred in adverts for 888 Poker, Stena Ferries and British Airways. He has directed campaigns for Marmite, Barclays, Tango, Comet and Cadburys Twisted, as well as music videos for Ian Brown and Wig-Wam (Alex James from Blur and Betty Boo). His latest ad, that he directed and starred in for the NHS, made the front pages of Campaign, The Drum and PR Week
