The Pheasantry (Chelsea)

Urbane jazz pianist & singer Dominic Alldis returns to The Pheasantry in a show celebrating the life and music of the legendary songwriter, jazz pianist & singer Michel Legrand who passed away in January.  Playing music from his 2005 album 'Watch What Happens' featuring the music of Michel Legrand, he will perform songs from the 1960s classic films 'Umbrellas of Cherbourg' and  'Les Desmoiselles de Rochefort', as well as popular standards 'What Are You Doing the Rest of Your Life' and 'Windmills of My Mind' from The Thomas Crown Affair. He will be joined by Andrew Cleyndert (bass) and Colin Oxley (guitar).

“It's rare to find a pianist-singer with a style so finely integrated that it's hard to think of voice and piano as separate elements. His subtle treatment of lyrics matches the delicacy of his keyboard harmonies and he swings - quietly but inexorably. We're lucky to have him…"
