From the far reaches of the North East, one of Durham University's most highly regarded musical ensembles is yet again zooming down the A1 for a gig at the PizzaExpress in Soho. Expect a lively afternoon performance of arrangements from the likes of Bob Curnow, Sammy Nestico, Anthony Strong, Bill Ashton, and many more... sponsored by Durham University.

Durham University Big Band (DUBB) performs traditional and contemporary Big Band music in Durham and around the UK. As well as gigging regularly at university events, DUBB has also played at Pizza Express Jazz Club in London, Matt & Phreds in Manchester and with other University Big Bands such as Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College, and Leeds. Up north, DUBB also regularly performs well in the Great North Big Band Jazz Festival and performed at Wigan Jazz Festival 2022. Alongside the classics, DUBB play some innovative arrangements of tunes by artists such as Anthony Strong, Bob Curnow, Drew Zaremba and Callum Au.
