Ebony is an Australian-born singer/songwriter with a flare for the dramatic and an imaginary best friend called Susan the Raptor. With a history of musical theatre and opera, Ebony has combined her experiences to create a sound that is all her very own. Ebony has been writing songs her whole life, but it wasn’t until a few years ago that she developed the confidence to perform them in public. Inspired by some prolific songwriters, including Kate Miller-Heidke, Kate Bush, Regina Spektor and Tori Amos, once Ebony began performing her own music she quickly realised this was the truest version of herself.

Ebony sings whimsical folk/pop and her songs are inspired by the fairy tales she grew up with, the adventures she dreams of going on, and the ups and downs that life brings along the way (mainly the ridiculous situations she manages to get herself into). Ebony is joined on stage by her musical husband and co-writer Nick Burns and together they produce some amazing, soaring harmonies. In the words of ‘Fight’ author Hazel Gale; “It’s a rare thing to find music that speaks so directly from (and to) the heart. Wonderful!”
