Success Express is delighted to welcome back PizzaExpress Live favourite, London based singer songwriter Edmund Jeffery. Edmund’s soulful yet jazzy voice and percussive guitar playing combine to enhance his wonderful story telling through song, winning him many loyal fans. Edmund brings his band, and special guests Ru and Echo Wants Her Voice Back.

Edmund Jeffery uses percussive guitar playing and soulful melodies to depict genuine stories of a North London, Singer-Songwriter. Previoust singles ‘Low‘ and ‘Moving’ have reached the top ten in the iTunes Singer-Songwriter chart, leading to regular solo performances in Italy, Poland, Germany, Estonia and Lithuania and the UK.

Edmund has landed solo performances at Round House, BBC Radio Theatre and most impressively Wembley Arena. He has also had much success with Singer/Songwriter collective ‘Winter Springs’ playing UK festivals including ‘Barn on the Farm’ and ‘Isle of Wight Festival’.

Ru

Ru is a London-based, multi instrumentalist, singer-songwriter. Her original songs include a mix of intriguing funky rhythms, catchy pop melodies and jazz-influenced scat solos, with lyrics that deliver powerful, inspiring messages to both engage and inspire audiences. Ru has performed over 1000 live shows since 2009 at music venues, radio shows and festivals throughout the world.

"About Time", Ru's first solo EP, was released on 15th May 2020 and received positive critical acclaim.  It's an introspective ode to hopeful new beginnings, reflecting a dense multicultural music background which takes us on a meaningful journey of fun, groove centred music.

Echo Wants Her Voice Back

Echo Wants Her Voice Back is a Cypriot-born, London based singer-songwriter, and actress, often described as folk noir with blues rock influences. Her background in literature and short story writing blended her songwriting skills with her love for poetry/prose bringing about the perfect union of her two passions. Her distinctive voice, notable stage presence and compelling lyrics have been praised by music publications, with Songwriting Magazine comparing her to the likes of Kate Bush and Lorde. In 2015, she self released her first EP and amongst other festivals, performed at the 2016 SXSW. Fast forward to today, she has released a series of singles and music videos on her YouTube channel. Her song “Mermaids” co-written with Paris based hip hop artist, The Spectre,  was picked up by BBC Introducing as part of its radio showcase in 2020. May 21st, this year she will be releasing “Wife” whilst she prepares for the release of her second upcoming EP.
