Ethan Iverson, Jose Sanders, and Jorge Rossy reunited to present a repertoire of standards and original compositions! This is an eminent piano trio consisting of three prominent younger musicians. The pianist Ethan Iverson was behind one of the coolest groups of the 00’s, The Bad Plus. From then to now, he carries the urge to push jazz further. Iverson is a big, intelligent and original musician - one of the greatest pianists in present time.

Ethan Iverson

Ethan Iverson, a pianist, composer, and writer who attended SJW in the early ‘90s. Prior to the forming of the Bad Plus, he was a student of Fred Hersch and Sophia Rosoff. He has worked with artists such as Billy Hart, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Tim Berne, Mark Turner, Ben Street, Lee Konitz, Paul Motian, Charlie Haden, and SJW”s own Albert “Tootie” Heath.

Jorge Rossy

Jorge Rossy is internationally recognized as one of the most influential drummers of his generation. His sideman work includes over 80 recordings with renowned jazz musicians Brad Mehldau, Kevin Hays, Albert Sanz, Mark Turner, Chris Cheek, Seamus Blake, Joshua Redman, and Steve Swallow, among many others.

Joe Sanders

Joe Sanders has made a name for himself through his versatility, dedication, and steady pulse. He is, without doubt, one of the most sought-after young bass players of his generation. He has played, recorded, and toured with many great musicians, to name a few come to mind Ravi Coltrane, Herbie Hancock, Jimmy Heath, Wayne Shorter, Dave Brubeck, Mulgrew Miller, Geri Allen, Jeff "Tain" Watts, Karriem Riggins, Nicholas Payton, Roy Hargrove, Gerald Clayton.
