Flo Blue
London-based saxophonist, vocalist & songwriter Flo Blue exhibits a raw sound. She combines soaring saxophone solo’s with pure vocals, and melds acoustic and electronic soundworlds through saxophone FX and vocoding. An eclectic range of influences across multiple genre’s has led to the development of Flo’s undoubtedly unique sound. This includes jazz artists such as Brad Meldau & Kamasi Washington, soul singer Celeste and alternative music maker Bon Iver.
A true musician to her core, Flo also writes all her own music including the arrangements for strings and horns. Since releasing her debut EP ‘Just Listen’ in July 2022, she has had support from Jazz FM, Worldwide FM, and been selected as Track of The Week on BBC Introducing. “Flo takes on the roles of saxophonist, vocalist, songwriter & string arranger in her latest single…is there anything she can’t do? As well as releasing music under her own name, Flo also works as a session musician playing in a range of bands and musical settings. She is currently on tour with her horn section Komodo Horns playing for Easy Life. They kicked off the tour this Summer by playing on the iconic Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury!
Ben Cipolla
Blending elements of Jazz, Soul and Indie-Pop, Ben Cipolla captures a unique vibrant yet chilled sound. His distinctive upbeat and percussive guitar style is inspired by the likes of Nick Drake, Jack Johnson and Lianne La Havas. Having experienced a number of successes including plays on BBC Introducing, BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 2, the Bristol-based artist has just released his brand new album ‘Casa Mia’. The album is about discovering his Sicilian roots. To celebrate his latest release, Cipolla will be playing at Pizza Express Jazz Club with his four-piece band and string quartet. Expect skilful, surf-guitar runs, shuffling beats and mellow bass grooves alongside a spine-tingling string quartet...this line-up will effortlessly float around Cipolla’s soul-soothing voice.
