Event Has Passed

Last Show: Tuesday 28 th April 2020

The Pheasantry (Chelsea)

When Leonard Cohen died in November 2016 he left behind a remarkable number of works - be it the novels and poetry he published or later the songs he wrote. We will take a look at both poems and songs. Songs like ‘First We Take Manhattan’, ‘Famous Blue Raincoat’, ‘Bird On The Wire’, ‘Suzanne’ And ‘Hallelujah’ are some of the many. People call 2016 ‘the year the music died’ and like so many other performers before us tonight we would like to keep the spirit and soul of this incredible artist alive. With Ricardo Nunes Fernandes back on the Steinway and Sarah Lebrecht lending a helping hand with the violin and viola the evening promises to be a celebration of the words and music of Leonard Cohen.
