"A charismatic, sophisticated performer who leaves audiences spellbound in her wake"

Jazz FM

Born in Belgium, Gabrielle began singing at an early age and had success in national competitions. She had her first taste of fame in 2003 when she reached the final of the French Pop Idol, and the resulting album went double gold.

Gabrielle came to London to study jazz at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, graduating in 2009. Since then she has built a reputation as a technically brilliant singer, versatile in many styles from bossa nova to swing and Latin. She has given the classic French chanson and tango repertoire a fresh, modern jazz spin and this has become her trademark.

Gabrielle is now an established favourite in her adopted UK, appearing regularly at top London venues and touring nationwide. In the capital she has performed at the Royal Festival Hall guesting with Aurora Orchestra, Ronnie Scott’s Upstairs, Hideaway, the Royal Albert Hall, Southbank Centre and St James Theatre, where she played to great acclaim at the 2015 EFG London Jazz Festival..

Her core band of Nicolas Meier (guitar), Dan Teper (piano/accordion), Nick Kacal (double bass) and Saleem Raman (drums) continue to work together today. She has recorded two albums, J’ai Deux Amours (2011) and Notes from Paris (2014), which was Jazz FM’s Album of the Week on its release.
