Following her wildly applauded sell out show in the 2015 London Jazz Festival with her Parisian Jazz & Tango band, Gabrielle returns to Maidstone Jazz Club with her continental musicians to sing the emotional music of Michel Legrand.

Writing over 200 film & TV scores and winning 3 Oscars, Legrand - also called the Master of Melody - built his jazz credentials with Miles Davis, Bill Evans and others, writing classics “I Will Wait for You”, “What Are You Doing the Rest of Your Life”,  “Windmills of Your Mind” and many more.

Gabrielle brings her special blend of Gallic charm and sophistication to her memorable evocative singing.

“Astonishingly beautiful voice”

Gabrielle is now an established favourite in her adopted UK. Technically gifted and artistically at home in styles ranging from contemporary jazz to French popular song, this vocalist who, in 2003, reached the final of French “Pop Idol” and then studied jazz at the Guildhall, is now performing with her own quintet, major London big bands and top orchestras in addition to touring, television and radio appearances.

Gabrielle's latest tour promoting album 'Notes from Paris’ had a sell-out launch at London’s Pizza Express Jazz Club and was Jazz FM’s “Album of the Week”. 

Featuring her modern jazz arrangements of songs such as “Je ne regrette rien” and “Sous le ciel de Paris”, and acclaimed musicians Nicolas Meier and Gilad Atzmon, Notes from Paris has been called “Polished, classy and refined … such a strong statement”. When she sang on BBC Radio 4’s Loose Ends presenter Emma Freud praised Gabrielle’s “astonishingly beautiful voice”, and she received rave reviews for her 2015 show ‘The Music of Michel Legrand’, Sebastian Scotney of London Jazz News saying: “Wow … just wow”.

Gabrielle has performed at top London venues, from intimate jazz clubs to concert halls. She sang with the Aurora Orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall - Southbank Centre, at Ronnie Scott’s, The Royal Albert Hall, Pizza Express Jazz Club Soho and Hideaway.  At St James Theatre where she played to great acclaim at the 2015 EFG London Jazz Festival and for its 2014 Jazz Divas Series. She guested that same year at Georgia Mancio’s ReVoice festival.  

She has completed three UK tours, gathering fans in jazz clubs from Wakefield to St Ives, further afield, she has performed in Italy with the notable accordionist Vincenzo Castrini, and at the Savanna Jazz Club in San Francisco. 

She has recorded two albums, J’ai Deux Amours (2011) and Notes from Paris (2014), which was Jazz FM’s Album of the Week on its release.
