Renowned Colombian percussionist Emeris Solís (Tony Vega, Alex Wilson) presents his new project crafted exclusively for the London Latin Jazz Fest. The name Guapi Soul refers to Emeris's hometown, Guapi, in the Pacific Coast of Colombia, where the rich musical tradition includes instruments such as the unique Colombian marimba and the bombo and cununo drums.

Guapi soul brings together a 7-piece composed of the creme de la creme of Colombian musicianship, including renowned Paris-based Colombian marimbero La Wey Segura.

Expect a powerful dose of Afro-Colombian percussion, traditional songs and marimba virtuosity with a jazz-infused sound. It will be the first time that a musical fusion between jazz and Colombian Pacific traditions takes place in the UK.
