“Her lyrics are consistently engaging … singing with a rare balance of passion and control … one of Britain’s brightest talents”

The Telegraph

Gwyn will be joined for the first time by Mercury Prize nominee (as part of Dinosaur) and rising star of the UK jazz scene Corrie Dick (also collaborated with Jacob Collier, Bobby Wellins)

It will be her penultimate UK appearance before heading out with her trio on a summer tour of North America’s jazz festivals

Gwyneth’s last album, 2012’s The Sea Cabinet, was accompanied by a large-scale multi-art form tour involving prose, live water sculpture projections and pirate flashmob choruses recruited from local communities. Long-recognised for her rare vocal talents and extraordinary ability to connect emotionally with her audience, the project further enhanced Gwyneth’s reputation as one the most imaginative and idiosyncratic artists of her generation.

Since then, in addition to widespread touring nationally and internationally, she has performed her own work with the London Sinfonietta and also received enormous acclaim for her work as composer and lyricist, ranging from the Bristol Old Vic’s hugely successful production of The Snow Queen - for which she was also musical director and voice of the title role - to a song for EastEnders character Bex!

2018 sees the launch of her ambitious and hugely anticipated seventh album and live show, Letters I Haven’t Written, songs from which she recently performed in session for BBC Radio 2 and live from the Edinburgh Festival on Radio 3. She will be showcasing these, alongside songs from past albums, in this intimate performance at PizzaExpress Live Maidstone.
