"Ahmed Harfoush is a very charismatic performer with a touch of the Sammy Davis jr about him and the sold out audience responded enthusiastically with dancing and applause"

Abdel Halim, also known as Al-Andaleeb Al-Asmar (The Black Nightingale), was famous beyond the Egyptian arts scene. Dubbed the "King of Arabic Music", "The Voice of the People" and "The King of Emotions", his songs are masterpieces of collaborative efforts by some of the Arab World's top poets and composers. Before he passed in 1977, Abdel had performed in almost every Arab country in the world, as well as venues across Europe including the iconic Royal Albert Hall in London, where he received one of the greatest standing ovations of his career and where the HarfousH Jazz Band performed as well. Ahmed Harfoush is an Egyptian jazz vocalist based in London who appears at leading venues and eventsthroughout Europe and the Middle East. His repertoire is extensive, including traditional American jazz and swing, musical theatre, Arabic songs and contemporary hits. His latest project, The ‘Egyptian Jazz Projekt’ isthe revival of the 50s and 60s Egyptian songs with a new jazz sound mixed with songs from the Great American Songbook. It aims to expose the Egyptian music legacy to the world with many collaborations of diverse jazz artists. The Egyptian Jazz Projekt is produced by Arts Canteen in London.
