Singer Hannah Svensson was born and raised on Sweden’s west coast. Hannah's musical education came from her father Ewan Svensson, a renowed jazz guitarist, who remains a great source of inspiration to her. Following piano and guitar lessons, it wasn't until a 17-year old Hannah heard Eva Cassidy singing for the first time, that her interest in singing took off. From the age of 21, Hannah led her own group, Hannah & The Acoustic 3, in which her father also played guitar. She was discovered by the manager of The Standard in Copenhagen, the pianist Niels Lan Doky, and subsequently made successful appearances at the Ystad Sweden Jazz Festival, the Kristianstad, and the Copenhagen Jazz Festival. Hannah has released two albums working with, among others, Niels Lan Doky, Jan Lundgren, Alvin Queen, Ira Coleman, Harry Allen and Svante Thuresson. Hannah creates her own unique sound through her spontaneous personality, powerful expression and clear phrasing.
