Harry the Piano has been described as ‘One of the most gifted improvisors in the world’ by Classic FM has gained a reputation for playing in every style on demand - (‘Staggering virtuosity’ - The Sunday Times, ‘An uncanny ability’ - The Independent, ‘Virtuoso Improvising’ - The Daily Telegraph) and has accompanied almost everybody in the business from Elvis Costello to Engelbert Humperdinck, Rod Stewart to Charlotte Church and David Bowie to Rick Astley. Amazingly versatile, he has toured with the Opera Babes, played with operatic superstars Bryn Terfel, Andrea Bocelli, Clare Rutter and Willard White as well as a who’s who of British jazz musicians and keyboards on the latest Simply Red album.

Harry was resident pianist on Channel 4 TV’s Big Breakfast for 5 years & bandleader for BBC primetime show ‘Johnny Vaughan Tonight’ for a further three years. He’s filled the Albert Hall (2008), the Manasterly Palace, Cairo (2008), Birmingham Symphony Hall (2010), launched the QM2, has youtube hits of over three million and is known for playing any tune in any style upon request (‘The best damn pianist in the civilised world’ - Jonathan Ross).

Harry is one of the most sought after cabaret acts in the UK, headlining in festivals from Adelaide & Barbados to Henley & Bestival as well as being embraced by the UK musical establishment, performing cabaret for The Music Masters Association, The Trinity Examiners Guild, Edition Peters manuscripts and the European Piano Teachers Association, as well as over 250 corporate institutions and private clients as diverse as Prince Charles and Kate Moss.

BBC radios 2 and 3 always turn to Harry for special occasions - first night of the Proms, Children in Need, the London Olympics to name but a few and he improvises on live audience requests such as ‘Match of the Day’ in the style of Gilbert and Sullivan, ‘Coronation Street’ as a tango or ‘Cheek to Cheek’ in the style of Mahler! He is currently Musical Director for Alexander Armstrong and has recently undertaken a weekly slot on Classic FM in a recreation of an item along the lines of the popular ‘Face the Music’ radio show. He has also recently formed a partnership with comedian Jake Yapp writing comic songs on the recent election manifestos, broadcast every night on BBC2‘s Newsnight and subsequently becoming regulars on BBC Radio 4’s ‘Now Show’.
