For this special performance, multi-award-winning trumpeter, composer and bandleader Henry Spencer brings his band Juncture, following recent international touring which saw sold out performances, TV & radio broadcasts and growing audiences. Having worked with multi-GRAMMY Award winning Dave Darlington in New York (Miles Davis, Prince, Herbie Hancock, Michael Jackson) and US/UK record label Whirlwind Recordings, Henry Spencer received critical acclaim across Europe. Astonishing dynamic variety, compositional flair and a measured vigour mark out this fast-rising star of the London scene and his multi-award-winning and close-knit band: emotive and evocative music that touches jazz, rock and minimalism and makes for an energising sound of its own. Having worked with two Platinum-selling producers (Kate Bush, Paul McCartney, John Lenon, Richard Ashcroft) and a London Symphony Orchestra composer for his latest release, ‘The Survivor and The Descendant’, Henry continues these collaborations for his new album.

From growing up on a working Wiltshire farm, to being London-based, via conservatoire and performing on the London jazz scene, Henry Spencer is a multi-award-winning trumpeter, bandleader and composer releasing music under his name and touring regularly internationally with his band, Henry Spencer & Juncture.

Having worked with multi-GRAMMY Award-winning Dave Darlington in New York (credits include Miles Davis, Prince, Herbie Hancock, Michael Jackson) for Spencer’s album released via UK/US record label, Whirlwind Recordings, he’s received critical acclaim across Europe: InMusic (DE) awarding 5/5 stars saying, “Henry Spencer is one of the great talents of the British jazz scene drawing a high level of recognition. His band’s growing international touring schedule, radio and TV broadcasts, including major jazz festivals and broadcasts on Mezzo TV, have led to the increase of audiences and followers internationally. Henry has also been collaborating with his group and orchestras in performances.
