Through six albums and various tours Hess is More have attained a huge underground following both in their native Copenhagen and in New York. These eight extraordinary musicians, with their unique instrumentation, unorthodox arrangements & energetic interplay, explore the borderland between electronic dance music, afrobeat, krautrock and jazz, with catchy melodies and chant like lyrics that can haunt you for days.

Please note: this performance will be staged 'in-the-round' with limited seating. Available seating will be allocated in the order in which people book.

The ensemble has performed at a long list of international festivals and venues, including concerts in Sao Paolo, Montreal, Istanbul, Moscow, Copenhagen & New York. They were selected for the 'Top 10 live acts of 2014' by Glitterball NYC.

Mikkel Hess is founder, composer, ‘Minister of Integration’, drummer and vocalist for Hess Is More. He is also a prolific film and theater composer (Royal Theater, Royal Danish Ballet, short and feature films). Mikkel’s very personalized masterful jazz drumming can be heard on several award winning albums, among them the collaborative "You shouldn’t do this if you are in a hurry" featuring Chris Potter on sax. People like James Murphy of DFA, Pitchfork’s favourite avantgarde pop musician Lorna Dune and Lowbrow Reader editor Jay Ruttenberg are big fans of Hess Is More live shows.
