Due to popular demand and the success of their EP ’La Dolce Vita,’ the band were inspired to record an album which features new arrangements of timeless vintage Italian songs, Italian jazz standards and original compositions.’ Hetty and the Jazzato Band formed in 2015 with three Italian members from Calabria, Rome and Brescia, and two British members from London through a mutual passion for classic vintage Italian songs and jazz. The band is influenced by 1940s Italian jazz groups like Quartetto Cetra, the humor of Renato Carosone, the smooth Italo-American crooners Dean Martin and Louis Prima, the beautiful Neapolitan ballads of Mario Lanza and the sassiness of Italian divas Sofia Loren and Mina Mazzini.

The incredible success of their unique spin on vintage Italian favourites like ‘Tu Vuo’ Fa L’Americano’ (over 16 million YouTube hits alone), has gained the band an international following and performances around the globe.

Hetty and the Jazzato Band performs regularly at events throughout Italy. Recent performances also include events in Holland, International Jazz, and World music festivals in Greece, Bulgaria and Ukraine and the Henley Jazz Festival in the UK. This year they have been invited to perform at Moscow Performing Arts Center (May 2020) and Open Air Jazz and Blues Festival Valcea in Romania (July 2020) and the Rodin Museum in Paris (June 2020). The band has also had interest to perform in Festivals in the USA, South Korea, and China. 

The band released their first EP 'La Dolce Vita' (available on all streaming platforms) in and in the next few months will be releasing their upcoming EP containing both modern arrangements of vintage Italian classics and the band's original compositions with their trademark Italian flair.
