“(Hey!) Jude Taylor” is your introduction to the music of exciting young composer Jude Taylor. After growing up aspiring to be the next Billy Joel, Jude is now writing musicals, such as the quirky contemporary fairytale ‘Steep Themselves in Night’ - last seen in London at The Other Palace in October. This is an exclusive opportunity to see Jude present a collection of his songs (some for the very first time) in concert, with the help of some special guests - a mix of old friends, new friends, and hopefully soon-to-be friends - as well as a chance to hear new interpretations of more familiar songs that have inspired his writing so far.

Jude Taylor is a composer, lyricist and writer from Leicestershire. He is currently composing and writing exclusively for musical theatre, and his latest musical Steep Themselves in Night, an ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ and Gilbert and Sullivan-inspired ‘mashup’, premiered at The Other Palace in London during October 2018. Jude was also grateful for the opportunity to present selected material from Steep at one of the Lionel Bart Masterclasses hosted by Mercury Musical Developments earlier on in 2018.

Prior to his work making musicals, Jude founded 'The Cognito People’ collective in 2012 with the aim of delivering innovative applied theatre and community arts projects, and went onto work with partners including West Yorkshire Playhouse, Leicester’s Curve Theatre and YoungMinds.
