PizzaExpress Jazz Club (Soho)

Manchester’s finest jazz, ethio-trad, soul - hop  & barrelhouse-pop exponents have the skill, charm and (frankly) tunes to pull it all together into a joyful, foot-banging sound! Honeyfeet have in Ríoghnach Connolly one of the most striking front women on the scene at the moment (“Seldom has conspicuous greatness been more accessible” – Mike Butler, City Life).

Ríoghnach has a truly unique style of delivery the moment you hear her mellifluous voice you can’t help being bewitched so do not miss this opportunity to catch live this amazing band or you will regret it….

Evoking the afro-funk of Mulatu Atstake, the exuberant folk of Flook, and the jazz/blues of Junior Wells without ever sounding contrived or unoriginal,

For a good few years, Honeyfeet has been a conduit for the ideas and expressions of an exotic mixture of Manchester based musicians. Jazz? Yes, some of that! Folk? Stick that in there! Soul? I thought you'd never ask!
Someone once called it Folk-Hop and Barrelhouse-pop, and that's just vague enough to make sense. Honeyfeet have spent the past 8 years tearing around festival stages and theatres, clubs and fields melting down jazz ,blues and  and soul , pushing air molecules around with instruments and making friends in the process. It's all very lovely. It helps that they are fronted by Ríoghnach Connolly, Real World's newest signing and “a remarkable singer and flautist who...can ease from Irish traditional influences to soul” (The Guardian).

Honeyfeet released the album “It's a Good Job I Love You” in November 2013. Their next, as yet untitled album,  will be released in  2017.
