Imogen has been recording and performing with Mark Edwards' band Cloggz at venues including The Old Market, Brighton; the 606 Club and at Love Supreme, Cheltenham, Brighton and South Coast Jazz Festivals. They recently launched their debut album 'Sawdust and Spangles' which reached No. 5 in the ITunes Jazz chart.
Singer and Radio 2 broadcaster, Clare Teal chose the Cloggz CD as her album of the year in an interview in The Independent on Sunday last year: ".....great song writing too. A Rain of Stars (by Edwards and Ryall) is a stand-out song".
She performed at the South Coast Jazz Festival in 2016 with the Jack Kendon Quintet which included a song, "There Will Be Time" specially commissioned and co-written with Kendon.
"The input of vocalist Imogen Ryall also brings a subtle power to the musical pallette" Kevin Le Gendre, BBC Radio 3
"..... their sprite set mixed originals with Carla Bley and Larry Goldings tunes that showcased Ryall’s quiet power and articulation. Her newly written lyrics and rapid scat based around the aforementioned pieces, particularly her loose, edgy wordplay on the Goldings improvisations, combined with guest Julian Nicholas’ sizzling tenor sax to agreeable effect".
