Following four previous sell-out shows, IMC return to PizzaExpress Holborn to move your feet and lift your soul in a whistle-stop journey through some of the greatest funk, soul and disco anthems of all time. Be it classics from Aretha, Etta, Marvin, Stevie, Chaka, Chic, Jamiroquai or BNH, let the eclectic vocal collective together with their band bring you fresh takes on some old-school classics. Expect rich, jazz harmonies, deep bass lines, raw gospel energy, seriously funky beats and stunningly soulful lead vocals.

Established in 2017, the Independent Musicians Collective are an eclectic 6-piece vocal collective who perform with piano/keys/synth, bass guitar and drums. They perform stunning original arrangements specialising in jazz, soul, blues, gospel, motown, disco, funk, house and pop anthems. They have performed on London Live TV, at the Troubadour in Earl’s Court, the Hampstead Jazz Club, Pride in London events, and this summer appeared in Cancer Research’s summer musical celebration. This is their fourth appearance at Pizza Express Holborn, following three sell-out previous shows. Their members have performed on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent, at the opening of the Rugby World Cup, live on Jazz FM and at top venues across London including the Southbank Centre, the Camden Jazz Café and XOYO club in Shoreditch.
