PizzaExpress Jazz Club (Soho)

Israel Varela, (drummer-singer-composer) a naturally inquisitive musician whose credentials branch out beyond jazz. He has performed with some of the best Jazz, Flamenco, Classical artists, such as Pat Metheny, Charlie Haden, Diego Amador, YO YO MA, and Mike Stern. For the project, Israel Varela cast a wide net, creating what amounted to his own cross-sectional portrait of the modern jazz mainstream. Great London based artists Quentin Collins (trumpet), Andrew McCormack (piano), and Kevin Glasgow (bass) will join him for this concert. The band will play original music from Israel Varela’s new album “Frida en Silencio” along with a song selection from Varela’s last ten Albums.
