“Resonance is a fresh take on third stream jazz and proof of Anderskov's qualities as a composer and a musical thinker.”

Pianist, band leader and composer Jacob Anderskov, has received numerous awards, including “Danish Jazz Composer of the Year 2013” at the Danish Music Awards and has released 20 albums as a bandleader. He draws on his vast experience as a professional pianist and composer, his violin studies as a child, as well as his many years of immersion in 20th century “new music”. Yet the resulting music is more Anderskovian than it is “classical” or “jazz”. He is inspired by a Miles Davis quotation, “You listen... then you play” - to react meaningfully with others depends on your ability to take in your surroundings whilst acting in accordance with who you are - resulting in genuine interplay.
