For this special series of Christmas shows, we have pulled together some of the finest artists of the London jazz scene to bring you their favourite seasonal music!

Jana Vargová is a professional London based singer and flautist. Equally at home performing jazz, pop, Motown/soul and contemporary, her unique voice brings a special flavour to every song. A versatile musician with a classical music background and vocal influences of jazz icons like Ella Fitzgerald and Chet Baker.

Michael Flatley

Jana started her classical music studies (piano and flute) at the age of 6 and continued in her hometown Bratislava (Slovakia) and later at Conservatories in France and Austria. She quickly developed a profound love of jazz and soul and started taking vocal lessons. After moving to London in 2014 she started writing her own songs and quickly became part of a wide range of musical projects performing across London’s most prestigious venues. Duo with guitarist Stefanos Tsourelis ‘Jana & Stefanos’ plays intimate versions of classic Motown and soul/blues tunes. French songs inspired ‘La Boîte À Musiques’ performs a sophisticated blend of swing, gypsy jazz and soul. Her quartet is inspired by classic swing era of Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra.
