Janie Dee returns to her favourite cabaret venue for an update on life, love and showbiz. Janie Dee is an award-winning actress and musical theatre star, celebrated for her extraordinary versatility in work on stage, film, television and radio. Her career embraces everything from Shakespeare at the Royal Shakespeare Company and Shakespeare's Globe, to acclaimed performances in classic plays, modern dramas and comedies, as well as leading roles in many of the great musicals. In addition, she regularly performs her witty, sophisticated cabarets at leading venues in London and across the UK.

Janie received a 2018 Olivier Award nomination for Best Actress in a Musical for her performance as Phyllis Rogers Stone in Follies at the National Theatre. Previous to this, Janie won the three most prestigious awards in British Theatre: the Olivier Award, the Evening Standard Award and Critics’ Circle Award for Best Actress in a Play for her performance as Jacie Triplethree in Alan Ayckbourn’s Comic Potential which she originated at the Stephen Joseph Theatre, and subsequently played to critical acclaim in the West End and in New York, where she also received the Obie and Theatre World Best Newcomer Award. Janie received the 2013 TMA UK Theatre Award for Best Performance in a Musical for her performance as Dolly Levi in Hello, Dolly! (Curve, Leicester). Prior to this, Janie received the Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical for her performance as Carrie Pipperidge in Nicholas Hytner’s acclaimed production of Rogers and Hammerstein’s Carousel (National Theatre), she was also nominated for Best Supporting Actress in 2013 for Lucy Kirkwood's NSFW at the Royal Court and Best Actress in a Musical in 2002 for Gershwin's My One and Only.

Janie also performed Old Times and Celebration as part of the Pinter 75 - A Celebration festival at The Gate Theatre, Dublin – Celebration was later filmed, in which Janie starred alongside Colin Firth.

Janie’s recent screen credits include: Chimerica; Official Secrets; Dare to be Wild; Crashing; The Driving Seat; As One; The Bathroom; The Trouble with Dot and Harry; Harold Pinter’s Celebration; P D James’ Death in Holy Orders; The Murder Room and Me and Orson Welles.
